The workshop “Marine Digital Twins: coasts, ports and infrastructures for sustainable management, system integration and blue economy development” will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Hotel Savoia Excelsior Palace, Riva del Mandracchio 4, Trieste.

The workshop, organized by the University of Trieste, focuses on the development and application of marine digital twins for the sustainable management of coastal areas, port infrastructure, and complex marine-coastal systems, central themes of Spoke 8 of the iNEST project. The workshop will bring together researchers, public bodies, port authorities, businesses, and blue economy stakeholders to discuss environmental and infrastructure data integration, real-time monitoring, resilient planning, and decision-making support based on advanced digital models.

The event offers a networking and co-planning opportunity for upcoming Horizon Europe calls, particularly the "Restore our Ocean and Waters" mission.

The workshop will be held in English.
