The event will take place in Room 204, on the second floor of the building in Via Alviano 18.Organized by the Department of Political and Social Sciences and promoted by Prof. Marco Giansoldati, the lecture features Pierpaolo Benigno, Professor of Monetary Macroeconomics at the Department of Economics, University of Bern.The lecture will address a highly relevant topic: the evolution of the concept of money in today’s economy. In a world where currencies are no longer tied to tangible assets like gold, what makes them reliable? What distinguishes a traditional currency from a cryptocurrency? What is the role of central banks today?The event is open to all students and faculty members of the University, with the aim of encouraging critical reflection on the modern monetary system and its future outlook.The initiative is carried out with the support of the Consortium for the Development of the University Campus of Gorizia.
