The initiative, organized as part of the agreement between Stazione Rogers and the University of Trieste, will feature a series of meetings at Stazione Rogers (Riva Grumula 14) to discover treasures from the University libraries and works of art from the University Museum System's collection.The first event of the series is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 5:30 pm, on the occasion of National Landscape Day, established by ministerial decree of October 7, 2016.The focus of the meeting, titled "Reading the Landscape. Pietro Nobile and the Drawings of Nature", will be an album of drawings of landscapes, trees, and plant details made by Pietro Nobile during his stay in Rome between 1798 and 1805. The discussion will explore the architect's educational background and the theme of depicting the Roman countryside and its vegetation through the lens of Pietro Nobile.Speakers will include Paola Ventura, Superintendent of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape for Friuli Venezia Giulia; Andrea Moro, curator of the Herbarium and Botanical Garden of the University of Trieste; Rossella Fabiani, art historian; and Adriano Venudo, professor of Architectural and Urban Composition at the Department of Engineering and Architecture (UniTs). The event is part of the MiC program.The next Preziose Carte event is scheduled for Thursday, April 9th (6:00 PM). Stefano Martellos and Nicola Bressi will be the speakers at a meeting entitled "Herbarium and Herbs of the Karst".
