13 November 2025 , 6 - 7 pm Immagine evento Image Testo evento The "Precious Papers" exhibition, promoted by the University Museum System of the University of Trieste (SmaTS), kicks off on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Stazione Rogers, Riva Grumula 14.The initiative, organized as part of the agreement between Stazione Rogers and the University of Trieste, will offer five weekly meetings until December 11 to discover treasures from the University Library System libraries and works of art from the University Museum System collection.The exhibition will open on November 13th with the talk "The Library of the Institute for the Promotion of Small Industries and Its Treasures" by Cristina Cocever and Elisa Zilli, librarians at the University of Trieste, who will present the book "Keika Zuan," by Keika Hasegawa, an important nineteenth-century Japanese artist, held by the Library of the Institute for the Promotion of Small Industries in Trieste.The second event, on November 20th, will be hosted by Maria Rosa Mezzi, librarian at the University of Trieste, and Zeno Saracino, historian and journalist, who will discuss the Library of the German Gymnasium in Trieste, drawing on Michelangelo Rustia's 1864 manual, "Schiarimenti sull'arte della ginnastica con un inizio ai Esercizi Elementare."The following week, on November 27th, art historian Rossella Fabiani will present, along with Cristina Cocever, Pietro Nobile's Album of Drawings of Sant'Antonio Nuovo, held by the Writers' Archive of the University of Trieste.Walter Gerbino, professor at the University of Trieste, will focus on Gaetano Kanizsa's graphic and pictorial works in the University Museum System's collections in the fourth event on December 4th.Closing the exhibition on December 11th, Massimo De Grassi, professor at the University of Trieste, and Serena Paganini, art historian, will present the artist Dino Predonzani's collection, donated by his heirs to the University of Trieste.Admission is free.
