On Friday 25 September 2026 at 2.00 pm, dr Sara Maioli from Newcastle University Business School (UK) – currently a Visiting Professor at DEAMS – will deliver a seminar entitled “Behind the TCA: The Impact of Non-Tariff Measures on UK Exports to the EU after Brexit”, followed by a round-table discussion as part of the PhD programme in Circular Economy, with a particular focus on the relationship between environmental impact and international trade. The event will take place in Building D, 1st floor, the “Bruno de Finetti” Conference Room.

Dr Sara Maioli is an applied economist with expertise in firm-level data. Her research interests span international trade, labour, development (including regional and rural development), international business and the creative economy.
