Applications are now open for the “Ex lege” initial training course for expert mediators in restorative justice programmes, offered by the University of Trieste for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The two-year programme, organised by the Department of Political and Social Sciences in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Centre for Restorative Justice, combines theoretical teaching, practical training and an internship. The course leads to the professional qualification required under Italian law for inclusion in the national register of expert mediators established by the Ministry of Justice.

Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification. Admission is subject to a selection procedure, and the course will admit between 14 and 25 participants.

Applications must be submitted online by 5:00 pm on 31 August 2026.
