The University of Trieste is holding two meetings dedicated to the new diplomatic competition, with the aim of presenting students and graduates with the latest changes introduced in the selection process for access to the diplomatic career.

The meetings will take place on Thursday, 14 May 2026, at 4.00 p.m. in Gorizia, in the Aula Magna of the University Campus in via Alviano 18, and on Friday, 15 May 2026, at 11.00 a.m. in Trieste, in Aula Venezian, Building A, Piazzale Europa Campus.

The two meetings will focus on the presentation by Minister Plenipotentiary Luca Peruzzi, Deputy Director General for Resources and Innovation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who will illustrate the features of the new competition and the opportunities opened up by the reform of the Farnesina’s recruitment procedures.

The meeting in Gorizia will open with institutional greetings by Diego Abenante, Rector’s Delegate for Territorial Campus Policies, and Georg Meyr, Director of the Department of Political and Social Sciences. Contributions will also be made by Giuseppe Pascale, Coordinator of the Degree Programme in International and Diplomatic Sciences, and Moreno Zago, Coordinator of the Degree Programme in Diplomacy and International Cooperation.

In Trieste, institutional greetings will be delivered by Mauro Tretiach, Deputy Rector of the University of Trieste. Contributions will then be made by Diego Abenante and Elisabetta Madriz, Rector’s Delegate for Orientation Projects.

The initiative offers a qualified guidance opportunity for those interested in a diplomatic career and, more broadly, in professional paths in international relations, cooperation and the representation of Italy abroad.
