Calendar 20 May 2026, 1 - 3 pm Testo evento On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, in Room 4_C of Building D on the Campus at Piazzale Europa 1, the seminar entitled "Political Perspectives on Climate Justice" will take place. The seminar is organized by the Research Group "Social Sciences Facing the Challenges of the Climate Crisis and Ecological Transition" of the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Trieste.Emanuele Leonardi (Sociology of Economic Processes and Labor, University of Bologna), co-author with Paola Imperatore of the book "The Era of Climate Justice. Political Perspectives for a Bottom-Up Ecological Transition", 2023, Orthotes, will discuss the topic with Fabio Raimondi (History of Political Thought) and Daniele Andreozzi (Economic History) from the University of Trieste.Emanuele Leonardi is an associate professor at the University of Bologna and works in the field of economic sociology. His research interests focus on political ecology, worker environmentalism, and climate justice movements. He is a member of SISEC (Italian Society of Economic Sociology) and ISA/ESA (International/European Sociological Association). His articles have appeared in prestigious journals such as Ecological Economics, Globalizations, Sustainability: Science, Practice and Policy, Sociologia del Lavoro, and Partecipazione e Conflitto. In addition to the book under discussion, he has also published Lavoro Natura Valore. André Gorz tra marxismo e decrescita (2017; Eng. trans. Labour Nature Value.
