On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the book "Rethinking Educational Spaces and Innovating Learning: For a Renewed Relationship Between Pedagogy and Architecture", edited by Gina Chianese, will be presented at the Biblioteca Antica, Portogruaro Campus.

In a context marked by profound social, technological, and environmental transformations, the volume explores the transdisciplinary dialogue between pedagogy, architecture, and urban planning, proposing a reinterpretation of the city and its public spaces as dynamic pedagogical places and of architecture as an educational medium.

Space, when it becomes a place, is interpreted as a living device, capable of generating relationships, experiences, and forms of widespread learning. Urban regeneration processes intertwine with cultural and social welfare, transforming emerging needs into shared educational opportunities and recognizing the urban and social margins not as fragility, but as a generative resource. Housing, mobility, and accessibility thus take on an pedagogical value, while architectural design is configured as a practice endowed with ethical and civic responsibility, oriented toward inclusion, participation, and social cohesion.

Combining theory and practice, research and design, the text reveals a vision of educational architecture as a tool for emancipation and cultural regeneration, capable of building—materially and symbolically—the conditions for continuous and shared learning and promoting a renewed intergenerational and community pact.
