The Master's program is dedicated to the understanding, creation, use, and development of photographic archives, viewed both as Cultural Heritage in the legal sense ('Material evidence having cultural value') and as a research tool and object of enhancement. The proposed courses, also linked to a rich series of case studies, are therefore aimed at acquiring, perfecting, and updating the professional skills essential for carrying out all activities related to the management of photographic collections. In addition to a substantial theoretical foundation specifically dedicated to the history and use of photography in the field of humanities, the Master's program provides students with technical and professional training aimed at developing specific skills in the structuring and management, including legal aspects, of these particular archives. The Master's program also aims to offer students the opportunity to critically reflect on the role that photography, in its various forms, has had and will have in the dynamics of our culture and society.
