From September to December 2026, the University of Trieste is offering the Open Badge programme “Culture of Inclusion and Equal Opportunities at the University”, organised by the Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies (IUSLIT), with professor Maria Dolores Ferrara as programme coordinator.

The programme addresses gender equality, non-discrimination, inclusion and equal opportunities, while also exploring stereotypes, inclusive language, cognitive biases, power dynamics, and strategies for preventing and combating discrimination.

The programme is divided into three modules:

Module 1 – Prohibition of discrimination, gender equality, equal opportunities, inclusion and diversity: 9, 15, 22 and 30 September;

Module 2 – Gender, stereotypes and discrimination: an introduction: 5, 12, 20 and 27 October;

Module 3 – Gender, stereotypes and discrimination: cognitive and social aspects: 15, 16 and 17 December.

The sessions will take place in different classrooms on the Piazzale Europa campus.
