On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 5:15 pm, the National Archaeological Museum of Aquileia will host the presentation of the EUT volume "Apollo, Comparing Polytheisms. Sacrum Facere. Proceedings of the VII Seminar on Sacred Archaeology", edited by Emanuela Murgia (Department of Humanistic Studies, UniTs).

The volume is presented by historian Monica Chiabà of the Department of Humanities at the University of Trieste.

The volume collects the proceedings of the "VII Seminar on Sacred Archaeology – Sacrum facere". Published in 2025 by EUT, it is part of the Polymnia Archeologia series on Ancient Sciences.

The conference, held in Trieste in October 2022, addressed specific aspects of the cult of Apollo in ancient polytheisms. Through archaeological, epigraphic, iconographic, and literary sources, the god emerges as a polymorphic and dynamic entity, with powers that vary across time and space. The interdisciplinary discussion highlights the complexity of the Apollonian cult, its political and salvific role, and the need for rigorous interpretations. The volume offers a multi-perspective view of Apollo, a "one and multiple" deity.
