In the Slovenian scholar's view, psychology is seen as a science of personality, grounded in the interconnection between perception, emotion, thought, ethics, and the spiritual dimension. Central to his thinking, Trstenjak places the concept of meaning, while mental health is understood as the ability to act responsibly and in harmony with values. Trstenjak is also considered a pioneer of Slovenian clinical psychology and of many of the discipline's applied fields: he contributed to the development of the psychology of creativity, economics, ecology, and pastoral care, and conducted empirical research on perception and emotion. During the meeting, professor Katarina Babnik will offer an analysis of Trstenjak's work, focusing in particular on the relevance of his reflections for understanding the challenges of the individual and the community in contemporary technological and social transformations. The 6th Psychology Festival in Friuli Venezia Giulia is organized by the Psicoattività Association in partnership with the University of Trieste, SASS - School of Advanced Social Studies of Nova Gorica, and the municipalities of Palmanova, Gorizia, Gradisca d'Isonzo, Cormons, and Tavagnacco. For information: www.festivaldellapsicologiafvg.it - eventi@psicoattivita.it Allegati Document Programma
