Mobility under institutional agreements MoU and PE

Based on the University Guidelines, applications for funding for research and/or teaching missions abroad are open for the year 2026 within the framework of the agreements Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Executive Protocols

Applications for funding must concern:

A) mission expenses to be carried out by 31/12/2026;

B) expenses for the organization of international events (conference/workshop/summer school/winter school) to be held at the University of Trieste and to be carried out by 31/12/2026.

Beneficiaries

Applications for mission funding may be submitted by:

  • faculty members of the University
  • researchers of the University
  • PhD candidates enrolled in programmes with administrative headquarters at the University of Trieste
  • medical residents (specialization programmes in Medicine and Surgery) activated by the University of Trieste
  • research fellows currently under contract and included in the University’s research groups.

Submission of applications

Applications must be submitted by the Departmental Delegate for Internationalization of the applicant’s department, using the form attached hereto, duly completed and signed by all concerned parties, and sent to the following email address:

Call opening and deadlines

From the date of this notice until the available funds are exhausted, and in any case no later than 24 July 2026.

Financial contributions

Option A)
Travel / missions

  • (for destinations within geographical Europe): up to a maximum of €1,800.00
  • (for destinations outside Europe): up to a maximum of €2,500.00

Option B)

  • Up to a maximum of €1,500.00

In both cases, the amount will be transferred to the Department in a single instalment and must be used for the requested purpose, as documented in the final report, which must be submitted to the Development Cooperation and University Networks Staff Unit no later than 31/12/2026.

Evaluation procedure

Applications will be processed on a rolling basis (“first-come, first-served”, according to the order of receipt).

Requests will be evaluated by:

  • the Rector’s Delegate  for International Relations and Mobility Prof. Elisabetta De Giorgi
  • the Head of the Teaching and Internationalization Services Area Dr Enrico Sartor
