On Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 5:30 pm, the event "Bad weather: migration and climate change" will take place at the Borarium in Opicina, Via Nazionale 49.

Climate change, combined with land use and resource exploitation, worsens inequality by increasing poverty, forces people to migrate, and is a source of social and political instability and conflicts over the governance of natural resources. Rising temperatures are a global emergency and affect Italy too—let's think about it.

This event is an informational event and is part of the DIMEast / DIVERSITY AND IMPACTS OF MIGRATION AT THE EU’S EASTERN BORDERS. Territorial Cohesion, Solidarity, and Security as Global Challenges in the Western Balkans, the Eastern Partnership, and the Russian Federation project, funded by the European Union - Next-GenerationEU - PRIN 2022 - NATIONAL RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE PLAN (PNRR) - Fund for the National Research Program and Projects of Relevant National Interest (PRIN) – CUP: H53D23002820001.

The event is promoted by: DISU UNITS, Roberta Altin, Giuseppe Carrieri; T4EU Local stakeholder WP7 Bora Museum, Rino Lombardi.
