Movember UniTS is the name of the event aimed at University employees, which will launch the University of Trieste's first campaign dedicated to the prevention and well-being of men of all ages. The event will take place on Monday 10 November 2025, from 14:00, in the Main Hall of Building D (Piazzale Europa Campus), with a welcome address by Rector Donata Vianelli and institutional representatives from the health sector and local authorities.The programme addresses key issues in men's health, from oncology to mental health and the fundamental role of nutrition and physical activity in lifestyle, in a dynamic and interactive format with contributions from lecturers, doctors and representatives from the world of sport.There will also be a presentation of ‘Tràttati bene UniTS’ (take care of yourself), a project coordinated by Prof. Giovanni Liguori of the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Health Sciences and Head of the Urology Clinic at the local healthcare authority (ASUGI), in collaboration with the local section of the Italian league for the fight against cancer (LILT Trieste). The University initiative offers over 100 free urological and andrological consultations for UniTS employees and their family members.Why participate? In Italy, new cancer diagnoses are slightly more prevalent in men. Among these, prostate cancer and testicular cancer, which are particularly common between the ages of 15 and 40, have very favourable outcomes when diagnosed and treated promptly.Appointments can be booked by 20th November by filling out the dedicated form.Programme
