The Final Conference of the European IN4SAFETY Project, of which the University of Trieste is a partner through the Department of Engineering and Architecture (DIA), will be held in Nova Gorica/Gorizia on Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18, 2025.

The initiative, co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Program, represents the culmination of a process dedicated to strengthening climate resilience and emergency response capacity through collaboration between Italy and Slovenia.

Cooperation to prevent risks from natural disasters and mitigate those caused by climate change is the common challenge addressed by the IN4SAFETY project. Addressing it requires a more coordinated response to such events across the program area. The vulnerability of the area and the need for cooperation were evident during the fires in the cross-border Karst region in the summer of 2022.
