On Wednesday, 20 August, at 5:30 p.m., in Room A1 of the building in Via Filzi 14 (Narodni Dom), the public presentation of the research project X-BRAIN.net – Network for cross-border cooperation aimed at post-stroke patient rehabilitation through innovative technologies will take place. The project is coordinated by the University of Trieste through the Department of Medical, Surgical and Health Sciences and funded by the Interreg Italy–Slovenia Programme.

After two years of joint work, researchers and physicians from the University of Trieste, the Science and Research Centre of Koper, the Neurological Clinic of Cattinara Hospital (ASUGI) and the General Hospital of Izola will present technological solutions and shared protocols for early motor and cognitive post-stroke rehabilitation: from virtual reality-based techniques to combined interventions against the effects of prolonged immobility, up to the setting-up of new hospital active rooms.

Speakers will include Gianni Biolo (project coordinator, UniTS), Rado Pišot and Luka Šlosar (Science and Research Centre of Koper), Paolo Manganotti and Laura Marzari (ASUGI – Cattinara Hospital), and Bojan Rojc (General Hospital of Izola). Admission is free and open to all.
