The fifth edition of Ital-IA 2025, the National Conference on Artificial Intelligence, is currently taking place at the University of Trieste. The event is promoted by the National Laboratory “Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems” (AIIS) of CINI – the Italian Interuniversity Consortium for Informatics.

This is the first time the conference is being held in Trieste, after previous editions in Rome, Pisa, Naples, and – during the pandemic – online.

The opening day, held on June 23, featured thematic workshops on AI and sustainability, public administration, healthcare, industry, cybersecurity, robotics, and disinformation. The plenary day takes place on June 24 in the main lecture hall of Building H3, with high-level contributions from academia, institutions, and industry.

Roberto Trotta (SISSA) – theoretical physicist, expert in machine learning and data science in cosmology, professor at SISSA and visiting professor at Imperial College London – will deliver an invited talk titled:
