On Friday 9 May 2025, at 3.30 p.m., with an expected duration of two hours, the meeting ‘Mathematicians at work. Stories of mathematics graduates told by the protagonists' will take place.

Mathematicians at Work’ is an initiative organised by the Department of Mathematics, Informatics and Geosciences within the Scientific Degrees Plan (Mathematics Project). It is a meeting with five mathematics graduates who will talk about their professional and study experiences with the aim of exploring the role of mathematicians in industry and the world of work. The initiative is also proposed to high school students as an orientation activity to present a concrete and varied overview of the job opportunities that the Degree Course in Mathematics can offer.

Michele Graffeo - Postdoctoral Fellow - SISSA - Trieste

Ludovica Luisa Vissat - Sustainability Consultant - Message SpA SB

Stefano Zanin - Mathematics teacher - Liceo "G.Oberdan" e ITS "A.Volta" - Trieste
