Duration: 4 months
Campus: Trieste
Language: Italian
Department: Clinical Department for Medical, Surgical and Health Sciences

For admission and enrollment procedures, please refer to the Call for Applications which will be published shortly on this page.

The aim of the course is to train beauticians in the execution of tattoos for medical purposes.
In particular, participants will acquire knowledge and skills related to the dermopigmentation of the areola-nipple complex. The course includes an introductory section on the anatomy of the breast region and oncological and reconstructive breast surgery, in order to illustrate the possible clinical scenarios. This will enable trainees to identify and understand the type of procedure undergone by the patient and safely perform dermopigmentation of the areola-nipple complex.

The course will then focus on the technique of medical tattooing, explaining the various methods of application.

To complement the theoretical part, there will be live surgery sessions demonstrating areola-nipple complex reconstruction using local flaps and prostheses.
An overview of the current regulations concerning medical tattooing will also be provided.

The course is intended for certified professional beauticians.
