14 March 2025 , 12 - 1 pm Testo evento On Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12:00 PM, in the Aula Magna of the Gorizia University Campus, located in Via Alviano, just before the graduation ceremony for Architecture students, the award ceremony for the second edition of the Marco Zuttioni Award will take place.The Award, in memory of the architect and founder of the Modourbano studio, will be presented by the President of the Marco Zuttioni Association, Cecilia Gazzi, to Sara Zuppin, a graduate in Architecture from the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Trieste.The Zuttioni Award, aimed at supporting and recognizing excellence in the field of architecture, in line with Marco Zuttioni's vision and commitment, has been awarded this year for the thesis titled “OUT (SIGHT) Beyond the Boundaries of the Visible.”The thesis, supervised by Prof. Adriano Venudo and co-supervised by Prof. Alessio Bortot, focuses on an underground architecture, a place of reflection and contemplation that celebrates the surrounding landscape. Carved into Mount Sabotino, located on the border between Italy and Slovenia and a site of battles during the Great War, this architecture invites reflection on a future of greater integration, in a subtle and profound manner.The award ceremony will take place in Gorizia, in the Aula Magna, home to the Architecture Degree Program, during the graduation proclamations for the extraordinary session of the 2024-2025 academic year. The event will be introduced by the coordinator of the Architecture Degree Program, Giuseppina Scavuzzo.During the event, Sara Zuppin will present her award-winning thesis project.Luca Romagnoli, a jury member and co-founder of Modourbano with Zuttioni, will also be present. In addition to the €1,500 cash prize, he offers the winner an annual paid six-month internship at his Milan office.The ceremony will conclude with Thomas Bisiani, president of the jury, who will explain the participation details for the next edition of the award.
