Study awards are bestowed to the winners of the FUST Foundation's calls, upon the verification of the requirements and the subsequent selection by a Jury made up of the members of the Scientific Council of the Foundation.

Candidates participating in the calls must attend the penultimate year of their degree programme (2nd year for bachelor's degrees, 1st year for master's degrees, 4th year for five-year single cycle degrees) and be in difficult economic conditions according to the ISEE indicator. Rankings are built upon the weighted average of exam grades and the amount of CFUs earned.

In memory of Prof. Aldo Duca and Dr. Savino Prelog, in order to carry on with the activities of the former "Aldo Duca" Foundation, the FUST Foundation offers grants to students and new graduates of the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Health Sciences (DSM) in difficult economic conditions according to the ISEE indicator, who are considered worthy students according to the weighted average of their exam grades and to the amount of university credits earned.

In memory of Engineer Marcello Urban, Maria Ehrl and Basilio Kosir, in order to carry on with the activites of the former "Ing. Marcello Urban e Maria Ehrl" Foundation, the FUST Foundation grants study awards to students and new graduates of the Department of Engineering and Architecture (DIA) in difficult economic conditions according to the ISEE indicator, who are considered worthy according to the weighted average of their grades and the amount of university credits earned. 

In memory of Prof. Guido Morpurgo Tagliabue, in order to carry on with the activites of the former homonymous Foundation, the FUST Foundation grants study awards to students and new graduates of the Department of Humanities (DISu) in difficult economic conditions according to the ISEE indicator, who are considered worthy according to the weighted average of their grades and the amount of university credits earned. 

During the meeting of November 6th, 2024, the Scientific Council of the Foundation approved the creation of 3 new annual award for the remaining Departments of the University that are not included in the other FUST award.

This 3 yearly awards will be granted to the 7 deparment on a rotating basis, according to the amount of enrolled students in the previous academical year, for the degree programmes chosen by the Deans of the Departments.

Concerning the 2024/2025 academical year, the awards granted by the Foundation will be bestowed upon the following Departments: 

• Department of Economics, Business, Mathematics and Statistics (DEAMS)
• Department of Life Science (DSV)
• Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies (IUSLIT)
