On Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the ECS-CUCS Webinar “Science Diplomacy” will be held.

Speakers will include Simone Arnaldi from the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Trieste, who will talk about “Fundamentals of Science Diplomacy”.

The CUCS was founded in 2007 from an experience of coordination among Italian universities stimulated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to promote the exchange among young people, particularly university students together with their professors, on issues of international cooperation for development. Today it involves 51 universities throughout Italy.

A group of young Early Career Scholars CUCS was born in 2022 (ECS-CUCS).

Science diplomacy is progressively emerging at the intersection between international relations and science development. This webinar will explore Science Diplomacy from its theoretical and historical foundations, up to its practice in institutions and cooperation.
