On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., the event "Innovation in the Marine, Maritime and Water Sector" will be held at the Urban Center, Corso Cavour, 2/2, in Trieste, as part of the activities of the iNEST Spoke 8 Consortium.

The iNEST SPOKE 8 project aims to promote innovation and participation through Public Private Partnership activities in shared spaces between research, academia and business.  The iNEST (Interconnected Northeast Innovation Ecosystem), funded by PNRR funds, involves 24 participating entities including 9 Northeastern Universities. 

By 2026 it will accompany the digital and ecological transition in the main areas of specialization of the Northeast: the industrial-manufacturing, agriculture, sea, mountain, construction, tourism, culture, health and food sectors.   The proposed activities in Trieste fit into Spoke 8 (maritime, marine and inland water technologies sector) with the aim of creating a unique and dynamic ecosystem that promotes innovation and growth in the high-tech and biotech sector, with a strong focus on sustainability.
