The University of Trieste, in collaboration with the Italian Society of Immunology, Clinical Immunology and Allergology (SIICA), is once again proposing this year's "UniVAX Day", a morning of education aimed at fourth- and fifth-year students of Institutions of Higher Secondary Education on the fundamental role of vaccines in public health protection.

The event, which will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in presence and in parallel in all the national universities that will join the initiative, is coordinated at each specific location by a relevant SIICA member.

In Trieste, the meeting will take place starting at 9 a.m. in the Aula magna of Building H3 in the university grounds. Speakers will be Prof. Roberta Bulla and Prof. Paolo Macor, professors of Immunology at the University of Trieste, and Dr. Francesca Micoli of the GSK Vaccines Institute for Global Health in Siena, Italy, who will explore the topic of vaccines from a technological perspective. The meeting will be moderated by Dr. Luisa Alessio, science communicator and popularizer.

Registration will close on February 6, 2024 at 12:00 noon.
